Craft Cecilia Seyuba

Craft Cecilia Seyuba is an experienced electrician with over 13 years of work experience. As the firstborn and only female child in her family of six, she had to set a standard for her younger siblings. She pursued a two-year program in Power Electrical at Kabwe Trades Training Institute from 2007 to 2008, earning her a craft certificate. In addition, she has completed courses in basic instrumentation, entrepreneurship, planning/scheduling, and computer skills. In 2009, Cecilia joined Sable Zinc Kabwe Mine as an intern and later worked for Chabinga Construction Company as an artisan electrician.

Currently, she works for Zambia Sugar and has specialized knowledge and experience in Plant Maintenance, with a focus on Preventive and Predictive maintenance of electrical equipment. Due to her competence and leadership skills, she has been promoted to the position of Planner/Scheduler for the Estate Support Services maintenance team, where she plans and schedules complex maintenance and shutdowns. Craft Cecilia is not only an electrician but also plays the role of Finance Secretary for the Zambia Union of Sugar Industry Aligned Workers (ZUSIAW).

Craft Cecilia is the CEO of Kavsey Business Solution and a finance board member for Kansis General Dealers. She is an active member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) and presently serving as the Craftsperson's Representative for Zambia Women in Engineering Section (ZWES). She has participated in career talks and has motivated young girls to take up engineering as a profession. Cecilia's advice to young girls is to have humility, diligence, and passion to achieve their goals.
